    I don't miss Commiefornia either!
We put a bid in for a trade show load to CA but im guessing we were to high :biggrin_25524:
We would have had to buy load bars $550 and some change.
So at least now we have time to buy 12 load bars lol.

You will have to cross the Narrows Bridge to get to Bremerton on WA Hwy 16 or you will have to go the backway through Olympia Hwy 101 and Hwy 3 Bremerton is on a Peninsula or the other option would be the Washington State ferry out of Seattle, but I don't even want to know what they would charge for that.

The toll is only going towards Tacoma. The old bridge is free. Also there is a coop right after the Narrows bridge on Hwy 16 WB and one between Port Orchard and Gig Harbor EB. The EB does not show up on maps.

I hope I have not muddied the waters to much :)

Why is it that stupid, Idiotic, Dumbarse mechanics can never have your truck ready when they say its going to be ready? First it was going to Monday and then it was Tuesday afternoon and nows its Wednesday afternoon :biggrin_25513:

Bet if I booked a load and couldn't get it there in the alloted time I would lose money and so should these dumbarse mechanics. RANT OVER

ok that since i have been on the otherside of the fence working tn a dealership. i can tell you right now that your truck doesnt mean anything to those mechanics. mechanics work on whats called a flat rate. thats when a job my pay 10hrs to fix but if they can do it quicker lets say 5 hrs they still get paid for 10 hrs so technically in a 40 hr week you can turn100 plus hrs. now some jobs you win on some you lose on and jobs that are losers get pushed to the back of the line. i did this myself plenty of times and didnt care what the customer thought i was looking out for my wallet. also when someone brings something in a nags and bothers and is always calling is ny truck ready is my tyruck ready that is another sure fire way to get your stuff kicked to the back of the line. and the number 1 way to get your stuff not done in a timely matter is to tell them how to fix it. im not taking up for them by no means i am trying to shed light on how things work in a shop,i can go on for ever about shady shop practices and unethical ways mechanics and bodymen act but thats for a nother time.

also warranty jobs are not money makers so they get put on the backburner also. warranty jobs always paid half of what a regular job would and i seen no reason to break my neck to make less. mechanicing is kinda like trucking choose the jobs you do wisely and work less and make more.

they will call you when it's ready.

my favorite job. as much as i hated working on the pos's. was the rack and pinion on a taurus.

10 hours labor and the whole job was 1 1/2 hours with the alignment.

the worse job was of course the taurus. seen LOTSA mechanics quit over the heater cores. 24 hours labor that literally took a whole week on there first time.

    and on another note.

them 11 drive shifts SUCK. no wonder truckers quit. talk about monotonous.

    them 55 mph drives SUCK

them 11 hour drives at 55 mphs. SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK.
