Wish I had known. I could have visited came through Missoula last night and spent the night East of town. I am on my way to Miami right now. Not a bad trip from the Olympic Peninsula in Washington to Miami Florida. Nice change for me not to see Oregon and California for a while.
Since I am not close to California my truck does actually idle without shutting down after 5 minutes. Good thing to since it was 5 degrees this morning when I got up.![]()

It was 40 in great falls. This morning.

was hoping to get an early start this morning. get a head start on the miles. but nope. truck got serviced. and instead of my trailer being preloaded. i had to wait to get loaded. THEN, i get halfway through the dessert. 60 miles away. to see my straps a little loose. lost my carboard protectors and the straps are SLICING through the load. i weight 250 pounds and walked on top of the load to lay the tarp. felt pretty hard to me. so i can't beleive the straps are cutting through like it was butter.
also got the 3rd degree was to WHY the cardboard protectors came off. well gee. i gues the load settled like most loads do. so i gets to go back in the morning to fix the load. -
Looks like Bama are making the Irish look pretty ORDINARY!

Well I am sitting in Miami waiting for a morning offload. Get to hang out a bit since I have to do a reset. Any good advice on where to go truck stop vise? It is 75 degrees and muggy as heck. I think I liked the dry cold in Montana a lot better. Looks like I will be going to San Antonio from here with a load and than from San Antonio to Blaine WA. and than back to the yard.
I will have to look out for that Freightshaker in the Southern states for sure. -
We are going to be in Dacula GA today and not sure where im taking us later today or tomorrow but GA freight is looking pretty bad rate wise. -
I guess to much bad TV as a kid.
We got $2.00 a mile to come down here plus the profit of selling a 53' trailer full of our own product. I am not sure what the rates are going back, but the goal is always to cover trip expenses and to get the truck back to the yard without getting taken to badly.
