it's sammons job to get the permits. but i may not need permits if the load only sits 5 feet off the back.

that's why i need numbers to call. so i can have the information first hand.

utah i can go 3 front. 6 rear. so no permit needed.

idaho can go 4 front 10 rear so no permit needed.

montana wants $10 permit for anything over 75 feet. i'd be 80 feet long. truck trailer and load.

can't get a hold of north dakota but websight says i need long load banners. instead of oversize banners. good thing i'm still home to grab some long load banners.

I see lots of TWT trucks going up and down I-5 when I do one of our CA runs. If you can stay in that lane you should see home quite a bit too. I have not been to CA in a month and don't miss it either :biggrin_25523:. I like those runs in the upper Midwest. I am gone less than two weeks and get good miles. Also the speed limit is higher and I can get a lot more miles in a day.

@ Jess. Where are you guys hanging out these days? I figured I better ask so I wont drive past you again in case you guys made it further North. I should be in the Pittsburgh area by Saturday.

why does jj's thread take so darn long to pull up.

looking for a step or flat load. soon as my darn phone gets here. hopefully i be gone tomorrow.

you guys see lots of stepdecks with risers hauling what would generally be flatbed loads over on the east coast????

i don't wanna run through a state and get busted for hauling a flatbed load on a stepdeck.
i'm talking the long loads. cuz my bottom deck is 43 feet. anything longer i'll have to setup the my riser equipment.

Must be your computer belly aching. It comes right up on my lap top. Are you still at home? I came down I-84 and spending the night in Little America.

Not sure on the flat bed loads. Seems like everything I saw was tarped. One guy had a conveyor on a flat bed that was hanging off the back a ways and another load was a railcar, but those were flatbeds.

both my computer and laptop were freshly wiped and reinstalled with a fresh operating system. the TTR is bookmarked and every bookmark i click on takes a couple of seconds. jj's thread takes the longest to pull up.

i'm just concerned about stepdecks with risers hauling long flatbed loads. like 60 foot rebar or trusses or what not.

my phone is supposed to arrive at 7 p.m. tonight. my riser pieces are supposed to be done today. build my v boards and wash truck and trailer. so i'll look for a load out for tomorrow.
