The load from hell is almost of the truck yay!
-
Did you haul another load of melons?

I almost made a rookie mistake and went to work 12hrs to early. I could have sworn the office told me 5:00am, but when I got home and did my trip planning I saw the 5:00pm on the paperwork. Did confirm times with office and broker. That would have sucked to show up 12hrs early for an appointment 30min from the house. I guess that is the problem when they give me a couple days off I have to be retrained

i woke up. topped of the tanks for $.53 cents cheaper. bought some fancy doughnuts. and delivered my load. stopping at every rest area enroute.
them fancy doughnuts didn't settle in my tummy too fancy. -
I can hear the jingle from Pepto Bismol in the background. Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go right now

somebody looking for a truck on monday to start hauling fuel into washington.
there's a load going home. but i need to figure out what to do with 5th wheel. as i need to shift 1000 pounds to the steers. and my 5th wheel is bolted. and not slideable.
wanted to play in the east for awhile. but i think i've had about all the humidity i can stand. thinking i'm gonna take that load home. and start hauling fuel. cept it's a tarp load. and i'm already sweating in the middle of the night. -
dreamt about caterpillars.
because every trailer in michigan has 8 axles. can't wait to get out of here and see normal trailers again. LOL. -
This load was 100 times worse! Hauled *ss from Mount Pleasant IA to ST Peter MO 185 miles to pick up a load get there 2hrs before the drop dead time only to be told it wasn't loading until Sunday, so called the broker and they asked could we pu Sunday ..Sure not a problem we drive back 17 miles to a truck stop and we get a call around 2030 telling us to be at the shipper @ 10:00am , So we get there at 0945 and get a door and wait and wait and wait at around the 2 and half hr mark I walk down to the office and ask do is it going to be much longer? The little cow in the office says no idea, so I smile at her and thank her for her help and walk back to the truck and call the broker agan.
Broker tries to call shipper but the cow won't answer the phone , at this stage we have been in a door 4hrs not a pallet on the truck
So he ask's me to give the cow in the office his # and have her call him, I give her the # and he calls her and she answers at last and she tells him another 5 or 6 hrs
at this stage im outta coffee and getting cranky lol...to make a long story short we were there from 0945 to 2315 to get loaded and delivered to the same company in a different state and it took them 4hrs to unload us.
