it's been a slow miles week for me too.
seattle to san diego and a breif chat for a brand new cvsa sticker i could have really cared less about. over the weekend. fight the L.A. traffic back to barstow. spend the day back n forth between scale and shipper to get the dang axles legal. then bust butt to make a 1200 mile( 1/3 miles in cali) drive in 48 hours. tonight i'll bounce 350 miles to waco for bobcats going to rapid city and billings. -
got loaded at 6 a.m. gots till monday morning to drive 1100 miles. rapid city sd. should be a nicer weekend drive this week.80 mph. last week didn't get out till saturday 1 a.m. and 1200 miles at 55 mph.
-
gots my next load booked. going home. come back out after the 1st. and i've let everyone know. I'M NOT TAKING ANY LOADS THAT DON'T GO EAST.

I got a call today from the recruiting dept. at Heartland lol. They wanted to know if I was still waiting for a truck, and if so how long I had been waiting.
I told them it was this full week, and had not heard anything accept that I was on the list. He gave me the number to tractor control to call direct and talk to them. So when I got back home I did, and the guy there said I was assigned a truck 3 hours before. It is at the Freightliner dealer in Jacksonville.
So now I just have to wait for a ride up Monday morning and I should be good to go and back to work.
I am wondering if it was the applications I have been filling out or my posts here that sped things up, I do know they read these forums. But it does not matter, as long as I have a truck I am back to work.
Sorry I missed your call earlier 1Bad, I will try calling back after I post this. I was at Verizion getting a new phone. So was not the best time lol.
Decided that the prepaid would not save me allot once I paid for a phone, and mine was going fast. So did the contract thing again. But managed to cut 60 bucks a month off our bill while getting a new phone, more wireless bandwidth, and unlimited talk. So works for me. -
On our way back to TN
It was good to catch up with Friends but I will be glad when we are back in TN.

so, here i sit, in salina, out of hours AGAIN. on my 70. guess i'll call it a week. AGAIN. and wait till midnight for hours to come back AGAIN. with any luck. i'll make delivery in rapid city before i run out of hours AGAIN. 630 miles and 11.75 hours to drive and use tomorrow.
thinking about heading into grand island for the night. hopefully to some cooler temps. truck and a/c need a break. -
I just squeaked into Fife WA to offload tomorrow morning. I hit 70 on my 8 days as I crossed the curb into the parking lot. I got lucky only one of the 4 scales was open and traffic was good for once coming up I-5. I called the girlfriend to check the computer for Portland traffic so I picked the better of the two ways to get through there. Than it is off to the yard in the morning and a couple of days at home.
Lady K and RizenPhoenix Thank this.
