I had a short week and only did a quick overnight run to OR to pick up a load of Juniper bunches. The estimate to fix the truck came back as well and it is around $3000.00 to fix the front of the Volvo after having my little incident two weeks ago. One of my fine co-workers ran my truck for a trip and I almost cleaned the truck out instead of putting my bedding back in after washing it. The truck was spotless when I left it, but the floor was covered in mud, my seat had mud on it and a lot of stuff that sits loosely in places was laying on the floor. At least only one CB antenna was broken off on the outside :biggrin_25510:.

I had some words with the owner and most people on the dock did figure out that you can turn the happy go lucky German into a Sauerkraut when you mess with his stuff. Obviously nothing was done about it, but changes are in the workings and we will see what the near future will hold for me. The girl friend gave me a legal pad and said I could work on my resume as a house boy and she will see if I cut the mustard.:biggrin_2559:

I am home for the holiday and everybody be careful out there since traffic will be a mess.

I guess you better sharpen your Crayon so you wont have to buy one of those gadgets. :biggrin_25522:

the new gadget won't apply to me. i've got ZERO log violations on my 2 1/2 years back out. i use my laptop.

if the company were smart. they'd make EVERYONE use there laptops instead of paper.

Yep, we bought a Galaxy Tab 7" tablet and we are running "Bigroad" on it for logs. It is pretty awesome and the dot guys love it. Clean logs make an inspection go very quickly.

Yep it does. I have had the pleasure to move a couple times in the last 3 years. The one thing I have done is down sized considerably every time. We all have to much crap since the average home is way to big and we are busy filling every nook up with more stuff.

Do you still print out your logs or do you guys just store the electronic copy? I will have to look at that since I run loose leaf sheets. I kind of created my own in a pdf and all the company info is already printed on the sheet. I just hand write the things that change by hand in. I do use a ruler for straight lines and I don't think anybody checked my math or recap in the last four inspections I had. They flipped through my log sheets and gave them a quick glance, but that was about it. If one does not look neat at the end of the day I redo it and I double check my math too.
