Company had me limp 20 miles or so to the nearest TA, and am still waiting my turn. Did get a shower and food in tho. Gonna lose this parking spot tho, once it's my turn.

This time of evening as soon as you think about moving out of your spot you have someone waiting to take the spot. But I guess in the long run we know that eventually it gets better.

I am still alive. As surprising as that is to me.
Unloading a furniture truck every day by hand really wears my old body out. But I am starting to get back into shape finally.
Pay is ok. Home most of the time. I stay out 1 night every 2 weeks, company pays for hotel and gives me 35 bucks for food etc. So I basically get perdiem, and it is a cash payout, separate from payroll.
Having to drive an hour each way every day is killing me in the gas bill department, so I had to sell my trusty old explorer and got a little car for better fuel mileage. It is a cool little car though. Mini Cooper S Convertible lol. So I have fun on my drives.
It is 6 days a week though, so in the long run not really making much more money, if I break it down into a per hour basis. I am eventually going to have to move closer (which I plan to do anyway) or start looking for an hourly pay job in the 19 dollar range. I have seen them, just have not applied since I was off the road and home now. The benefits at this company are good. So it would have to be a real step up and 5 day a week work week to consider moving.

verizon rolled out a software update for my note 2. bout time they fixed THEIR glitch with the volume in google navigation.

i can use the thing again WITHOUT having to the turn the volume up. becuase it's already turned up. and stays turned up.

they need to start hiring experience for their software division. instead of students.

and on another note. YALL can call me super trucker now. i went down a NO NO NO NO trucks over 2 axles road. 7% down and 10 mph SHARP curves. blocking traffic. in a FAILED effort to pick up my load and go home. because the freeway was RED for 15 miles.

i got half a mind to just go home EMPTY.

Jess, you need to do some research. Huge money out of Florida right now. There are 3 dry van loads for every truck in Florida. Markets change all the time and you need to use the tools available to stay on top of it
