Seems like I remember they were running Cummins power for a while...If so that would explain the early rebuild.

The blue and white valvoline scheme trucks were the first generation ISX. There was also a black flat top that was given to Julian with I heard the only factory 600 hp N14 and a 6x4 spicer. Had less than 100k on it at time of the auction. The black Pete's bought after the blue and white ones were half CATS half ISX.

Yea they were hard running. Julian, Bill Davis, and Ronnie Dowdy all come up together. Every one knew what was expected when they hired on if not then it's there own fault. Didn't take asking but a couple of people to find out. They had a lot of drivers employed between the 3 of them. Davis is the only one left kinda sad really

Mark took over the company after Julian (his dad) was killed in a plane crash. I used to run with some of their drivers across 40 going out west. Back then they had real sharp looking Pete’s. In those days there were two JMar trucking outfits. One out of Searcy, Arkansas and another one out of Atmore, Alabama.
The Atmore AL company had those big ugly dark green FLD’s

    Tall Mike Thanks this.
