I almost forgot to update this thread, I passed on the 2nd. I had it narrowed down to grand isle express and Leonard’s express. Leonard’s express is where I’m headed. They got back to me at the last minute, the pay didn’t seem bad, but the insurance was a little better there. I’m supposed to have orientation on the 5th for 4 days then out with a trainer for 5-8 weeks. Wish me luck. Thanks for all the suggestions Chinatown. Much appreciated, you really go out of your way to help with job postings. Thankyou.

Serious advice: start watching Bonehead Truckers on YouTube. You can learn a lot about trucking by observing the clowns out there who show us what NOT to do both on the road and at the truck stops.

If you are destined to run over a curb, do it slowly so that the brake drum isn't damaged, since that will likely occur if a curb is hit at speed.

So many cdl instructors and trainers treat going over a curb like it's the end of the world. It really shouldn't be since it is unavoidable at times.

    Be safe out there.

I’ve watched some of those videos, hard to keep up with some. I’m trying not to find out about the brake drum being damaged that way. Lol. Thankyou.
