I’d like them to bare their soul for starters. That way I can pick it apart and act like I’m above the fray. :) You’re right. Point taken.

I'm shocked. I haven't even worked for 5 companies and I'm in my 9th year

The name of the game is Supply and Demand. Right now the demand for drivers is higher then the Demand. So the poster should not have a problem with getting hired by another company.

Now here is something that he needs to understand, if he lies about something in order to get hired, he is not insured. The company is insured if they did what they were required to do to check his background but he personally is not insured.

I would like to know why he left the different jobs as that would tell us which company he should be looking at. I only own five trucks now with 3 of them running and the other two coming online in a week. I have eight drivers already so I can get picky. My felons to non felons ratio is 50/50. -

To me, this is further indication of the state of the trucking industry in a chronic state of needing drivers, to the point of practically anything goes for some.

It is a "driver's market" however that should not be construed as a license to jump ship at the drop of a hat. Do your due diligence in researching options, play your cards right, and you can be earning in 3 years what it took many in the past 10 years to accomplish, assuming there is no economic catastrophe in the short or mid term.

Stay put until you have enough info (including talking to drivers at new company) to move. I dont understand the increasing tendency to change jobs quickly. Imagine dating a girl that tells you she's been married 5 times in the last 9 months. Trucking jobs are not marriages, but you hurt you prospects at good companies by having many jobs, especially less than a year at a company. The better companies don't like to see much less than 3 years at a company. It's only recently been acceptable to change jobs with JUST 1 year experience.

All those companies are going to put your employment on the DAC report and dishonesty is going to be discovered at your potential employer and you probably will not get hired if you try to lie to them. Most decent companies won't hire you even if you're honest. You kind of screwed yourself. It's probably worth sticking with something for a couple years before looking for your next job.
