I quit running when I got out of the Marine Corps in 1994 (and also primitive camping), but I still needed a hip resurfacing years later. I chose the Birmingham hip because you can still maintain a very active lifestyle because the femoral stem remains intact and just the cartilage is replaced. Dislocations are unheard of.

It got recalled in the US because of metal ions and high rates of revision, but my ortho doc says mine is still solid. The ions in my bloodstream are very low. It was definitely worth it.

I jump rope on a rubber mat that is on our padded laminate floor wearing good shoes, so I hope the impact will be low enough not to start having joint problems because Crossrope is a workout routine I could definitely stick to.

I’m just trying to achieve this level

For those that have concerns about knees a proper form can make it very low Impact the way buddy lee teaches the basic bounce, if you get it down takes all pressure off the knees. If you don’t believe test it. Try to bounce off your toes. As if you’re going to stand on your toes or a calf raise, then try it with a little momentum. You need less than an inch to clear the rope. I was 315lbs when I discovered it and was able to walk away from full30 min workouts with no pain... if you guys can get the bounce with no pain.. jumproping cant be beat

I'm looking at starting jumprope pretty soon as an add-on to what I already do. Most days I average 5-6 miles of walking, with just enough jogging every few minutes to elevate the heart rate.

Or get beach body or P90x.
They're relatively cheap. Dont require too much equipment. The equipment they require can be worked around.

Beachbody on demand is kinda like netflix you can play it on your phone.

They are low impact exercises you can do in limited space. Or standing in one place. They also give you a nutrition guide. Not that you could follow it on Trucker food.

That's another good option for truckers seriously guys it takes 40-45 mins to save your long term health.

The endorphins help mentally as well with the loneliness and depression etc.

    Get it on it man.
    What you waiting for.

Tons of unhealthy food and 4x high cholesterol later.

I'm scratching my head thinking how I got to throw away all my progress.

Wanna get back on it so bad.

0:51 I can jump that fast, but only for the last 30 seconds of my workout. You're so right about the amount of height off the ground you need. Just an inch or so....unless your doing double-unders, then you need about 18". :p

There shoulf be a slight bend in knees to absorb skme impact. People make the mistake of bending there knees too much when they land to jump back up.

Toes are the best way to do it.
