I have the perfect idea and you can get in on it from this post and we will all get RICH!!!
We will put the cameras on us naked of course and upload live feeds to create a new REALTY SHOW called the NAKED TRUCKERS! Season one starts this fall on NBC right after Survivor! I need your help to think of some tag lines so we can pitch the idea to the other networks to start a bidding war. THIS WILL BE HOT

In a land not so far away, the story of 10 hard working drivers, working for a company that is trying to limit idle, battle the elements inside their trucks, naked! The a s s road truckers. Coming this fall only on NBC
-
Ummm... I WILL NOT WATCH THAT!
Now if you had a show with naked women truckers, it would be a hit!
maybe not with guys wives.girl friends, but ....
(I wouldn't watch that either, but I bet my b.f. would!)
anyway, the Werner recruiter at school yesterday, I did ask about cameras, if they were in the truck or planning to install them. As far as he knew, Werner tried some,(outward facing) but the just kept breaking from the vibration. Said if they get some that were resistant to breaking, they might try those. He didn't have a clue about inward facing cameras. He's basically just a driver...

ok so it's been awhile since my last posts. was told there were some things being thrown out there on here so i thought i would pop back in and catch up. since being out here on my own, i to have been noticing drivers leaving or regional drivers going back otr. i myself made the switch from otr to regional after a few months otr, in which i think i'm starting to regret, due to miles. i personally think it's not just the cameras that are causing drivers to make the decision on leaving. communication is key for things to work and there definately is lack of. i know 300+ miles a day doesn't cut it for pocket and survival in todays world, granted i have had a few good runs, but not lately. honestly i think the company is hiring to many newbies and needs to take a break. drivers that are used to running 2500-3000+ and not getting any where close to those numbers now would definately make me want to jump ship. if i could find that one company to buy my note from millis i honestly think i would jump ship. personally i'm not as happy as i was when i first got out here.

Fzoo just hang in there until you have your year in. MANY more jobs will open up with one year experience. Plus it will look better on your job application that you stayed at least a year. Also know that if your paying the minimum school note a week it takes 2 years to pay off. Double up on it if you can.

doubling up..... haha.... with the miles i've been getting it doesn't even pay to pay attention. total miles for today 289. big bucks coming my way..... lol..... i'm waiting for the check that says you owe us. total miles for the last few weeks have been in the 1700-1800 range and quite frankly after paying child support, taxes, and 401k contributions. trying to live on just under 200.00 a week just doesn't cut it.

I just received my pre hire with Millis also. That is one of my fears as well. Hiring seems to never end but turn over is 59% on the GREAT side to well over 100%. I know drivers with Roehl that are very happy 6 months after training and still getting a lot of miles. I decided to go with them to start from the great feedback from new drivers as well as ones that have years with the company. I also know not to LEASE anything for at least a year or more. Indiana is right! Stick it out with whoever you go with for 1 year min. Looks good that you are a team player and will stick it out good and bad. Wherever you want to go will want to know that you will stick around after they hire you.

I still say confidentially that Millis is one of the better companies to START with. Better pay than most, GREAT school and instructors. GREAT equipment (I have a 2014), and they are not real strict on their rules.
However with that being said AFTER you have a year in there are much better paying companies out there. You can make great money as a trainer after a year with millis ($1000+ a week after taxes) if that's your cup o tea. But it's pretty easy to find another job paying close to that where the stress and boredom of training isn't there. -
