I also went to the Millington school and yes, the instructors are militant. But that's what I liked... my first 30 mins on the first day, I was failing hard on straight lining. Ol' Gary rolled up and chewed my ##### after seein' me bomb, I took it and listened. I did it perfectly the rest of the time, every time. Same with the other maneuvers. They are rough around the edges but if you listen to them, what they're telling you is exactly what needs to be done.

As for the women that were in my class, they were shown no favor or disfavor. It was whether or not they could do what they were told to do to make that trailer go in the hole.

All in all in my experience, there could have been more 1 on 1 coaching but, having free reign of a truck and left to figure it out for yourself was something I liked about Millington. Lots of time to mess up and try to figure out why on your own. Now that I'm out there driving in the real world where everything isn't inside cones and spaced to specifications, I'm not looking to someone else for help, instead I'm looking to myself.

The only time I've backed into a slot made of cones was to take my CdL test... For practice, I got to use cars boats trees dogs deer and hundreds of children running around. Kinda motivates you to get it right the first time.

The instructors are all about gender equality.
They feel as though they should treat the women as harshly as they do the men.
Some women find this offensive and take it personally.
Women need to understand that men can be rude and disrespectful to each other, until such respect is earned.
If they want to be treated "just like one of the guys", they will find this out.
A Man's World is not a pleasant tea party in the garden.
If you're a woman that wants to drive a truck, you'll need to "MAN-UP".

Or we can just back off the testosterone a notch or two and just plain treat everyone, man or woman, the way we would like to be treated.

Your comment "it will improve my credit score" (or something like that)...is not true! Swift does not report to any credit reporting agency with "paid on time", they only report the negative when you don't pay the bill.

Same way with their "leasing" of trucks....nothing but negative to your credit score.
