I had a similar problem only have 148K on the truck turned out to be the egr valve was stuck open and the wiring harness had a short looks like it got rubbed through near the ecm go figure

Good news, EGR mass flow being replaced under warranty. No talk about crank sensor codes.but I notice 2 mechanics looking in that general area.
Bad news part arrives tomorrow around noon.. -

So, 750 miles to the house engine is still briefly cutting. Cut a few times for not more than 5 seconds.
EGR codes gone
Crank timing sensor came up again.
I'll be checking the wiring tomorrow so if anyone has any suggestions or theories even crazy ones, I'm all ears. -
Since grounds are good now, check power side.

what controls the engine brake on this thing? -
Take it to Volvo in Joplin mo ...they were the only ones that could get my d16 to run right ...they finally hooked it up to the mainframe computer in Sweden .
After that it got decent mpg and ate high horse cats for breakfast .Bigmike1977d16 Thanks this.
