Putting my money on the wire harness under valve cover and outside engine. volvo has the worst coating and thin cooper wire in there harness. Have seen and had two replace on mine to clear all code. the last time it was turning on the engine brake on while giving full power and over heating. The coating on the wires crack and cross fire and all types of code come and miss fires poor fuel mileage.

    Well, Interesting development..

Spent the day yesterday inspecting all the wires I could reach.. decided to play around with that round harness connector on the firewall driver's side. Wd40'd the crap out of it couldn't get it off but managed to move it a few millimeters sprayed it some more tightened it back up. Gave up. Started it up truck sounded different. Had to go get a load this afternoon. Drove 250 miles and no more crank sensor code. Truck runs smoother.. no more cutting.
