Hi I haven't posted on this board much since becoming a Landstar BCO back in September. I pull a landstar van. and I am quite happy with the rates especially when the loads are light so my fuel mileage goes up. I have had fun in California as you can snag a short load in state and get paid well for it. It has helped move me closer to my grandkids for visits if the load I brought into California isn't close to them. I don't know what will happen in the coming years as my truck is older (paid for too) and so will limit me gong there. Sitting in Georgia at the moment having delivered this morning, but not sweating it as I had a good load coming in and have a good load going out tomorrow. I personally think this is the best trucking experience I have had in my career

Best of luck to you!!! -
hey quietbreeze what are the rates looking like from cali to Georgia?? that's the lane I plan on running once I get my truck

I haven't run straight from California to Georgia but I pretty much try to stay with frieght paying $2+ per mile and weighing not more than 30,000 lbs, I have taken a couple that didn't fit that criteria, but they were going somewhere I wanted to go.

Good info about LS and the other tips too!

Just bid on weekly hazmat freight out of CA going to good reload areas. I'll post more about it in the private sections for those of you interested. You know how to get ahold of me if you wish to pull.

Hey OZR could you PM me the basics that you can let me in on? I have a friend I have been discussing buying a truck and running team with and I would guess van would be a better opportunity then flat and step for a team operation.
