Beautiful! I was going to kid you about going through your "second childhood," until I saw the busted kneecap part. Not fun at all! Hope you get complete recovery from it.

And we really appreciate you sharing your photos that bring back fond memories, --- for many of us anyway.

    Driving a Marmon isn't just driving a Big truck, --- it's driving a statement. A BiG statement.

I met a driver in Wyoming while I was pumping fuel into a W-900 and he pumped fuel into his Marmon. This was early in my Big truck truckin' career (1980's) and I'd only read about Marmons. This was my first meeting of a Marmon in person.
    Just seeing it was amazing.
    Beautiful!
    The detail was outstanding.

I thought I had my thrill for the day, ....
until that driver cranked 'er up.
The sound from the straight stacks was like music being played by a 3408 Cat.

I heard someone ask, "how's she pull the mountain grades"?
The man in the Marmon looked puzzled when he replied,
    "What mountain grades"?
    'Nuff said.

    No, I don't think so, Big D. :biggrin_25512:
I'm pretty sure he was from this planet.

That's a great mag! I could've joined ATHS for a discounted price at MATS last year, but got distracted and never made it back to their booth. Next year it will be my first stop!

    OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this.
