just came back from dot physical

When they checked for my hernia the doctor grabbed my nuts and told me he was lonely. Then be forced me to stay quiet because nobody would believe me

 

Always have to get my blood pressure checked two three times before it's low enough to pass

 

Question I had testicular cancer about 5 years ago and they took my left one will that fail me?

 

There are some drivers out there with out any (woman drivers) so why would only having 1 fail you?

BTW my BP is in check with a pill, Sugar with diet & weight control (no pill) and as long as I get a needle in 1 eye every 6 weeks so I don't loose it I can pass my DOT with the eye sight wavier I have.

They have a new procedure to check for a hernia just for truck drivers. When I went for my physical they were training. My physical was free because I agreed to be the guinea pig. There was 5 people and the doctor doing the training.

They didn't do a hearing test. The fact that I could carry a normal conversation was a pass he said. The hernia test was done by lowering my underwear. The doctor stood back maybe 6' and had me cough a few times. They were looking for a LOT of movement he said in either testicle.

The BP test was done last if I passed everything else. The doctor told the others that if you tell the driver everything looks good his/her blood pressure will drop for the BP test.

It was interesting.

 

Had a friend of mine go to renew his physical, stopped off at IHOP for a big pancake breakfast. He got a 30 day card.

I still laugh when I think about what almost happened to him.

My buddy has sugar problems. He was out on the road and had to renew his card. Right before, he stopped at IHOP pancakes and bacon. They checked his sugar and his level was so high that they were considering trying to rush him to the hospital.

So then he tells me about this and the 30 day card. I informed him that that's the last chance card to keep your privileges. In 30 days, if you can't pass, you're done.

THEN, he tells me about IHOP. Well, at least he admitted to being stupid. I didn't have to ask him.

 

I just checked out a Hernia exam on youtube, would like to ask what if they find an STD, can they disqualify you?
