Why do these big companies use one type of truck for company trucks and another for lease trucks?

For instance Stevens has KW's for company but Petes for lease. Seems that it would be better to keep em all the same.

Companies spec there Lease Trucks better then the company trucks to give you an incentive to lease. For instance with swift as a new driver you may be put into a 5 year old truck, BUT if you lease you can have a BRAND NEW truck.......people fall for that stuff....

and over the last few years companies have started mixing up there trucks, both models, specs, and even colors. For those companies that BUY there trucks because its easyer to sell them. Like Snieder a Cheapo Neon Orange truck is HARD to sell, thats why werner buys decent trucks with all the options so they can clean them up when there done and sell them.

Some companies have exclusive contracts that specify American made truck(car part carriers) which disqualifies volvo, etc. Then you have comanies under agreements but have since merged with other companies changing that dynamics of the agreements usually mixing to benefi everyone.
