Just fired off some applications

Thats crazy talk. I pulled reefer for one of the starter companies (FFE) and made decent money. Cold Warehouses? Yeah you wait a little but big deal. Get youre foot in the door. Fact is every company has ups and downs. I think what I disliked most was the odd driving hours and heavy loads.

 

Prime. If you want reefer and need your cdl go to Prime. Best program to help get your cdl.

 

Stevens reputation is one of "nice trucks, but not enough miles". This forum has an "inside scoop" board on companies. Talk to Stevens drivers.

I would shy away from Stevens.



Prime is the place I would look at, hard, if I were in your shoes.

They’ll get you on a bus, and get you thru all training for your CDL.

You won’t get paid the first four weeks, but, once you have your license, you’re paid $700/week for two months while you go out again with your trainer. At two months you’re assigned a truck, and are paid by the mile.

 

you need to know there are places called Americold Logistics or Performance foods....and you will be at these places very often.
