Just getting into trucking

    If you do it go with the new truck. Less chance of breakdown and if it does breakdown you have a warranty. Save plenty of money just in case.

    Paying for the truck seems OK until you notice the trucking company has no obligation to pay you enough miles weekly to pay those numbers. Most newbies when being told this JUST ASSUME the trucking company will obviously choose to give the lease driver enough miles to pay the expenses, except the company is off the hook for bad consequences once you sign the contract obligating yourself to pay the company bills. It is your money and your credit at risk if the company doesn't have enough miles to keep you busy. Paying for the truck when you are new is a scam but most newbies are not experienced enough to recognize it until they get burned by the scam. Be a W-2 driver or stay out of trucking as a newbie.
