Well I quit Stevens in my orientation back in '86 so I can't advise you.I'm very much old school I never went to driver university are all the BS they put you guys through now days.

I'am impressed with how much this generation can take just to drive a truck.I mean this in a admirable way also.A lease purchase is just paying for the privilege to get ripped off my opinion.

Hi, this is Joe from Big Red Trucks, Inc. Are you looking to start a new career over the road? You are? Well great! I'll need some information first...

Ok, to start, I'll need your social security number. Great... thanks... now I'll need your spouses name and social security number too. Ok.... got it... now what about line 22 from your 2009 tax return? What was your adjusted gross income shown on that line? Great... ok... well that's all I need to get a loan in your name.... er.... did I say that out loud?

Providing personal information is one thing.

But if I'm going to give it out, I want to know why....specifically. No garbage about "we just need it" or "we get it from everyone".

With the amount of ID theft nowadays, you gotta be more careful. And Katrina needs to be more professional about it.

Just called Stevens Back, Katrina was out to lunch. Spoke with Jessica the receptionist who was much easier to speak to.

She informed me that to get hired on you have to have made at least $15000.00 for the past couple years. Could not tell me why except that it was a requirement.

She also informed me that my application is currently denied.

Was informed that I would need to call back and speak with Katrina later..

    I may do that.

Sounds pretty fishy. If it was me, I'd refuse to speak to Katrina. This reminds me of some debt collectors i experienced a while back. One, i didn't have a job, i told her that, and that i would be interested in paying it back when i did get one. She told me she'd call back in a month. She called back in a month and asked why i hadnt paid what i agreed to pay. Cough. I never spoke to her again. LOL. Eventually i talked to a guy and he was very nice, i told him i'd pay him, and he gave me a lot of good suggestions and things.

But your Katrina just sounds downright unprofessional, just like the d-bag that entered false information on a payment arrangement that was never made with my collection agency.

Tried that trick. I was told that Katrina is the only in house recruiter.

I had to supply the last three years copies of my 1040's, plus W-2's to Stevens before I was accepted. Never asked why. I dealt with a recruiter named Josie.
I blocked out my ss# on the form before faxing. What do I care?
    I'm happy.
    I just like to drive.

The W-2's/tax statement sound like they could be using them to apply for financial aid, they require that to apply

I'm pretty sure 15,000 in the last 2 years would knock out about 90% of the drivers that apply and send that info. But they are right she was very unprofessional by not answering a simple question. I had the whole identity theft crap believe me you don
t want that crap took mths. to get that all straight. I doubt Stevens would do all that but if they say your denied go elsewhere.

That does make sense but indeed it would have been nice if Katrina could have told me the reason why.

But funny thing is I am getting ready to head over to Roadmasters this morning and will be doing my paperwork with them this morning. I will be taking the route of Financial assistance with them as well and only thing they need me to bring is DL and SS card.
