I have been with Roehl for about a month now.. They seem like a good company for over the road.. just make sure you got a low heart rate.. those #### stress tests failed 7 out of the 19 that were at orientation in marshfield when i went.. luckily im only 21 so i didn't have a problem with my heart.

Most likley van but I'm not ruling anything out.I hear flat is paid better but tuff work.I'm ok with that, builds character..I'm out of Marietta Ga so that may dictate what my choices are.

I'm 36 and in decent shape..Little over weight but had my check up 6-7 months ago and am in perfect health..Not bad for a guy who started smoking at age 12..lol

That's so true about remembering to breathe! I have been racing motorcycles for years and every time I found myself getting into a nasty spot....it all came back to one simple thing.....I was holding my breath. I have long since given up on anxiety and have found many things get easier without the added stress of ME STRESSING over them. Things just are what they are. Breathe, relax, and just do it. We will see if this holds up at my orientation, but I am sure that it will. Good luck!

Ok,good news..Got the call from Roehl.
My background check is clear and have been given a offer of employment.
physical is fri very close to home.I am very impressed with them so far.
My school is backed up so no scedule for truck training..I hear this is common so not worried. Not happy but..hey what can you do?The first week I learned some new stuff and logs.Had my CDL A permit or AP.Got my passport card today, that was cool.I'll make use of this time off and study for my hazmat, don't know when I'll have this time agian.Roehl was my 1st choice and I am glad to be going there.Close 2nd was TMC but rolling flatbed seems harsh your 1st yr out,and they seemed to let you go home with truck and possible load..My wife was weary of that.I told her it would easily fit in our driveway! She was like um no.
Figure I have about 3 weeks till I actually go to orientation.
I'll post my progress through the school I'm going through.

Just got sceduled for a truck to train on November 1st..I starting to wonder if going with a company training program was a better idea.To late now, guess gutting this out is my only option.

Hamsterrock74,I just send my application with them. What mainly defines whether you get a job with them or not?

Well, good driving record,3 yrs of employment history..If you were laid off as I was go to your local office and have them print out your UE history.
If you can not then they will send you a afffidavit to have 2 non family memebers sign date and send back.Just comunicate with your recruiter.
Be honest they will do a background check....
They will not start the ball rolling till you commit to them..so just a app will not do this.Call them Monday and agian comunicate your wishes and questions.A pre-hire is just the begining, once they do the background they will let you know immediately.I got the call from my recruiter and 5 min later got a call from the lab for an appoitment for my physical for dot.I had 1 from school but they do their own..not hard just a small hoop.
hope this helps and good luck..keep in touch..your feed back will be helpful.
