What did they hit you with? Didn't they stop your orientation because of the doctor having a gripe with something? How did they word that on your DAC? I'm really curious how they could hit you up for anything when you never worked there, please keep us posted on this.
Just got approved at TMC

Is this messing with your Barr-Nun offer? -
I was all set to go out with Barr-Nunn to pick up my first load to Nashville,TN.
Then I got a call from the woman that did the orietation. She informed me
there was a problem and that I needed to come back to the office. I was
told that TMC had filed a negative report on my DAC and that due to
Barr-Nunn company policy they could not hire me. She was absolutely
sick about it because she said I was a good hire (neat in appearance,
excellent driving record/work history). Now I'm at home in Alabama without
a job. I've got a lot of friends around here who are pulling for me so
hopefully I will get back to work soon. Meanwhile I can assure you I will
be retaining a lawyer to help me fix this situation. I'm no lawyer and not
really interested in suing anyone but this has really left a bad taste in
my mouth. I just want to get back to work. I already have cabin fever
(lol) and I'm starting to drive the wife crazy. -
WOW! I don't even know where to begin.
Did they say something to the effect that you falsified the application or did they cite health reasons or what? Do you have any idea? -
I have to admit that I was so blind sided by this that I didn't ask some of
the questions I should have. Basically I gathered that Barr-Nunn was letting
me go because I had not told them that I had been let go from TMC's
orientation. In my defense nobody asked me. I didn't think I really needed
to because I was simply at a job interview with TMC and was told by them
(I asked before I left the property) that in fact I didn't work for them and
that they would not be reporting anything to DAC. I got the guys name
from TMC that told me that and felt comfortable with what he said. It
made sense to me because the first day of orientation they tell you that
"this is a one week interview". Also like I said earlier I never signed
anything. -
I am in fact curious to see what's going on my DAC. I talked to Denise (The woman who fired me on speaker phone lol) and asked her what was going on there, she assured me that i had nothing to worry about. Not that it really matters, because if i have my way i won't be going back to driving anyway... BUT it's the principle of the situation. And bet, i will be calling my uncle the lawer and it will be straightened out.

Day 7 in the books.
Today we tested out in load securement. We finished securing the various loads we learned over the past three days and took a test on the computer and a written test of specific knowledge. The test itself is not difficult, but the grading scale is very stringent. Of the 20 students in our class 5 did not score as well as they needed to. I'm not sure if any of them will be let go, I get the feeling most of them will still be here. Tomorrow we start behind the wheel training which will be a nice change of pace. 5 more days and we are outta here. -
If you had gone to TMC's orientation and had not listed a previous trucking job or orientation on your application that would have been then end of your job as well. It shows that you may have something to hide, even though DAC has that information. The company hiring you will no longer trust you because you lied on your application. Sorry P.
P3anu7 Thanks this. -
Yeah hommie I understand that much of it. Again though in my defense I had filled out
and been approved at Barr-Nunn before I ever even went to Des Moines and never had
an opportunity to fill out another application. I have no issue with what happened at
Barr-Nunn. It was an honest mess up and unless they decided to burn my dac I will
possibly pursue work there in the future. -
What did TMC put on your DAC, if you don't mind sharing.
