First, I want to thank you guys for sparing me the trouble of having to respond to the idiot with an attitude.
Second, before anyone misunderstands my intentions, my post was meant to be a follow up for the people who had shown support and encouragement to me as I was starting this journey. Going in to this I had a lot of questions about Swift Academy, now that I have some answers of my own I felt I could offer my experience to others heading that way.
If anyone got the idea that I was somehow suggesting I was more than a student driver, then I'm either guilty of not expressing myself very well or you've been exposed as a complete tool with a chip on your shoulder.
Anyway, now that we've gotten that out of the way, thank you tablefor7 and I wish your husband the best.
Look, I realize Swift has it's...um...drawbacks but it was the right choice for my current circumstances and I'm happy to be getting my foot in the door.
I'm going in with my eyes open and trying to make the best out of the cards I've been dealt. I think you're right about "ducks to water".
Swift Academy is a fast paced environment that doesn't have much to offer someone looking for a more thorough education.
In the short time you're there you either "get it" or you don't. You're true education is in the field. Luckily I seem to have been able to pick up the basic skills easily and I'm ready to move on to life after kindergarten.
Right now I only know what I know...and that ain't much. I leave for Columbus this Sunday to start road work and I'm eager to learn more.
I'll keep updating when I can for anyone still interested and for anyone still feeling the need to expose their own insecurity.
Peace
Just got back from Millington.....

The weather here (while I'm thinking about it) is pretty chilly in the mornings but mid 80's by afternoon so pack to be chilly *and* warm. OH! And hubby was invited to join the Roehl team! So we're right along side you in the 'new kid on the block' lane. Woo Hoo!
Dave68 Thanks this. -
Big Mike, I can't make out your cut. Is that Widow's Sons?

As for the weather report...yeah..I live in Cleveland....Columbus don't scare me. -
Good luck to you Dave. I wish you much success in this business.
Dave68 Thanks this. -
i believe if you take the responsibility upon yourself to be successful you can be with any carrier
i am not saying you stay with starter companies forever but not expecting to have your hand held helps with success
people complain about transam every day the dreaded lease
THE SKY IS FALLING RUN CHICKEN LITTLE RUN
leasing just called me and my 6 month bonus was $2842.40 last weeks check was $1389
who do these people think they are I am worth at least half that money
everyone needs to look at thier own driving habits why they are successful
i will grant you i stay out longer then most but i never sit around a truck stop on a reset because of poor trip planning
2 resets since 6/11 and at least 9 hours were available every single day
i wouldnt have done the 2 resets i did if we didnt wait around for the cow, pig or chicken to die
but we are meat haulers after all
