You could try the Con-Way terminals in Ct. One is in or near Bridgeport, the other is just south of Hartford. I'm no longer with Con-Way, but the terminal I ran out of has a relationship with NETTS in North Andover, Ma. which is where I got my CDL. The ltl carriers aren't real busy right now, but you never know until you try. I do think you have an issue with your driving record, but again, you never know. You may also be able to get in as a dock worker and that could possibly lead to a driving job once those tickets drop off your record. Don't be afraid to use the schools placement service either. You paid for it already. Let them do what they are supposed to do.
That is terrible that somers did that. I went to NETTTS in Bridgeport and they let the 5 people who were thinking about going know the first day before giving info that any tickets within 3 yrs and any DUI's or felonies ever and your SOL.
Hey congrats , it's been almost twenty years since I got mine , Mizzy Const out of Plainville , CT might hire you , JV111 , Rocky Hill, CT , try a lot of places like that Construction outfits tend to look the other way , but until at least one violation is off you are going to have a hard time , go Construction get some experience it's still driving ! Hey, man i know this thread is a few years old, but what ever became of your driving career? I hope it worked out for you.
The 'school' doesn't owe you anything besides what you pay them for. Some offer job placement assistance as a courtesy call, while others do not.
I don't like to kick a guy when he's down but did you not know before going to a CDL school that you had 4 moving violations and that it might be tough finding a job?
