Just got my CDL today, any advice is great advice!

Go west my son, I'm telling you from first hand experience all the good jobs are in the burbs and there are companies that train out there.

 

Delco or Chester county. That's where the good jobs in need of drivers are. The city and Jersey are already full.

 

I offer this food-for-thought; love God more than anything, be humble, be grateful. Late at night when you’re driving alone with your thoughts, talk to God. He listens.

 

I worked for Schneider many years ago. In fact I started in an IC cabover with them. Way back then the were tops. The finest operating centers with Showers, great cafeterias and good comradery. They had dry vans, flat beds and tanks. Tanks were first and built the company. They have deteriorated over the years; closed many great oc’s And sold their flatbed division. They still have tanks though and could be a good start for a newbie. Get a year there then get. Keep your CDL clean. Believe in yourself.
