There comes a point in your life where you have to say enough is enough, and end the bullcrap. I reached that point and told them to go screw themselves, along with my codriver.

    1. you cant possibly have done your research. if there are 3 companies that hire out of there, either of the other 2 choices wouldve been better. as far as needing a course, private school with financed tuition exists.

    2. i sincerely wish you luck in finding another job. if you thought the pickins were slim before, watch what happens if crst reports abandonment to dac.

    3. what would i have done? quit much earlier, but quit in a more reasonable way. wouldve given them a desired quit date, at least 2 weeks from the date i gave it. then i wouldve given them 3-4 weeks (fromk what youve said, it probably wouldve been 3) then if i hadnt dropped off my truck and handed someone the keys by the 21st day, i wouldve refused any other load. wouldve warned them of this at 2 weeks.." you have 7 days to get me to a place to drop this truck off, then im done carrying freight". at that point their choices wouldve been...route me empty to a terminal or drop yard, or route me empty to a terminal or drop yard. no abandonment, just sticking up for my rights.

fyi.../.if you are looking for another company...cr england has almost as stellar a reputation as crst. i have a list of 3 companies id tell ANYONE not to work for. crst, cr england, and swift. the first 2 are crooks in every way. swift has new policies in place that force you to log time not required under hos regs, and since they dont reimnurse you for that time, they are thieves as well.

Yes, but without $$$ and someone to cosign, no go on private schools. I told them my last day was Feb 10th on December 17th, they had us sitting from dec 28th till dec 6th. Everyone told me they would do that, and they were right. I pretty much gave up in the industry.

Because he was just starting out and 11K isn't nothing. And if he had stayed he would have made more on the back end of that year because CRST gives you more cpm the longer you stay.
