Thanks seawheeler. I knew not to get to upset or complain. I have read here where others have been sent home just for complaining about the bus ride. lol It wasn't anything Maverick did to ME. I just wasn't prepared for that. I don't know how they would have found out about a surgery I had as a little kid, but I figured I should go ahead and put it on the form. Hopefully, I will end up being hired. Spent $100 at the Dr. yesterday. Got to spend $160 today applying for my passport. Money is drying up fast.
Like you, I fought the idea of them sending me home. I asked if I could see a doc in LR. They said no. I couldn't stay there in the Mav Hotel, and I couldn't afford to stay on my own dime down the road. Also, since I don't live in LR, the doc I wanted to find there would not qualify as my primary physician. Since the abilities tests are only done on Mondays, I had no choice but to go home and fix it, and try to get back. I was lucky to get to come back this quick. Another recruiter had a guy back out for some reason, and Courtney got me his spot. Scott told me they wanted me, or they would not have invited me in the first place. Like I said before, I am really impressed with Maverick so far. Now if I can not cross any double yellow's during the road test...
Be on the bus Friday night. See you all soon.
Just got the official invite

Well, my boy is here to take me to the Metra train to Chicago. Then a cab to the Greyhound terminal. Hopefully my 9:01 bus will not be full this time, causing me to wait for the 12:01. Got there last Friday at 8:20. Not early enough, I guess. Heading back to the rock to give it another go. Hope I get to stay this time. I really like Maverick so far.

Hubby called for pickup at noon today so I figure his 34 hour reset will end at 10:00 PM Saturday night so should be delivering him to NLR terminal around then maybe a bit earlier because another driver switched trailers and loads with him today so he may need to spend a bit of extra time locating his truck.

At the Greyhound station now, waiting for the 9:01 bus to Memphis.
The Challenger Thanks this. -
