Ability to drive a truck does not necessarily equal people skills. Plus, some people need to yell at and berate others just to make themselves feel good. Kinda sad really.
just have vent

Empty flat bed made a few comments as he flew by me on the right. I warned him and sure enough the other guy was on the shoulder about a mile ahead. ### hole didn't even move to the middle when he went by the guy on the shoulder even though he had room. -
And trucking takes yet another step backward !!!
I am medicineman Thanks this. -
What exactly is "IMPEDDING TRAFFiC" ???
Is it anything like IMPEDING TRAFFIC ???
Cause that term is subjective and enforced by OFFICER DISCRETION.
That means you ARE liable to get a ticket for being a jackwagon and not staying to the right.
If you refuse to yield the lane, you are then ignoring the LAW.
The sign in the picture above is STATE LAW in many places including here in MS.
It mandates that you move your slow truck to the FAR right lane.
And why are we "BREAKING" things ???
Hey.... take a BREAK before you BREAK something valuable.
All you have to do is put your foot on the BRAKE pedal and press.
Then you slow to a stop and can rest a while and calm down.
As far as the subject of this post........
Just GROW UP and stop being so selfish.
Yeah, I said it.
Grow up and stop acting like spoiled children out there.
If you are BLOCKING (impeding) TRAFFIC, or if you are DEMANDING unfettered use of the highway, you are WRONG.
BTW - Road Rage is ALSO a ticketable offense in some areas.
Yes, I also know I am being an a-hole about bad spelling too.
But that's only because I hate to see truckers considered "illiterate" due to a few that may be.Big_Perv93 and SlowPoke44magnum Thank this. -
If it's a 3 lane with no trucks allowed in the hammer lane and you're in the center lane doing 62 in a 65, yup, you are impeding traffic. Consider that center lane the truck passing lane. If it's a 4 lane and trucks are not allowed in the far left lane and you are in the second lane, I don't see a problem.
BNR32, Hitman and outerspacehillbilly Thank this. -
3 lanes going in one direction, left lane no trucks.
So, middle lane is the passing lane for trucks ???
anything to prove that ?? -
common sense?? my god people...i just facepalmed so hard i might have a concussion. if its 2 lanes do you just sit in the left?? no thats the passing lane. when theres 3 lanes, ignore that 3rd lane when we arent allowed in, 3-1=2. you now have a 2 lane highway. when your on a 2 lane highway, do you sit out in the left lane? if you forgot the answer, reread the last couple sentences. the answer is no. and thats why. its not written in stone anywhere, its simple logic. you need to treat it as a 2 lane section in your mind in consideration of your fellow drivers.
-
not sure if there is anything written as to prove that the center lane is the truck passing lane----but i would think common sense should prevail--and if you are pissy about driving a slow truck ,dont mess up the flow of traffic--get in the right lane--or get another job
you are being inconsiderate and dangering othersBig_Perv93, outerspacehillbilly and BNR32 Thank this. -
Geesh!Big_Perv93 Thanks this. -
Then why in the hell are all these slow ### trucks in the middle lane ???
