because many companies teach their drivers to go with the path of least resistance---which is the center lane, nobody getting on or off
but at the same time it is messing it up when they cant go with the flow of traffic
yes the vehicles are speeding--but welcome to life

Cars do not weigh 80,000 pounds. Cars do not take a half mile to a mile to get up to speed on the highway. Cars do not have air brakes in order stop their vehicle......... therefore I will give other trucks a break whenever it is possible for me to do so, whether I am driving my car or a 40 ton truck.

Cars can easily and quickly speed up and slow down to get around a truck, to merge into traffic, etc.

Anyone who has not driven a truck is not aware of this, but now you are....I wish some 4 wheelers could be forced to ride in a truck for 1,000 miles so they would have some understanding of how big and slow a truck is to move in any direction.

Since a car only weighs 3,000 pounds and has 200 horsepower compared to a truck weighing 80,000 pounds and having 400 horsepower, you can see the power to weight ratio is about a 100 times greater for the car than the truck.

Most 4 wheelers don't seem to realize that when they are at a stop light and leave the truck in the dust, that is what happens when the power to weight ratio is 100 times greater for the car.
The car is a mile down the road before the truck reaches 20 mph!!! And the truck is going full throttle, and the car is going half throttle!!!

So, don't you think the truck should be given a few more breaks in traffic than a car in traffic???:biggrin_25516:

This is an endless complaint, and often by those in trucks - while a little "faster" ... have no problems tying up that center lane for even faster trucks behind them ...

    "It's okay - I'm doing the speed limit ... "

Heavy traffic thru town, middle is the thru lane - and the safest.

It's not "your speed" ... you don't "own" the pavement in front of you.
