Welcome to your new career.
I've been to Muscle Shoals a few times with a couple different companies. Seems like one was a wood processing plant.
Get all the endorsements, TWIC, passport. You can study for the endorsements by clicking on "CDL Practice Tests" at the top of this page. Google for the nearest TWIC office. All this will prepare you for the good high paying jobs right out of CDL school. There are no dues to pay if you're well prepared at graduation. -
Tidewater Transit would be a real good deal for you. The terminal is in Decatur and they hire new CDL graduates. Should be able to make $55K-$60K per year pretty easy.
You posted once about weekends home with McElroy; don't rule these out either:
Jordan Carriers
Builders Transportation Company
Maverick
Your annual pay will be thousands more though with a tanker company such as Tidewater Transit. -
Thank you for the info Chinatown
