First a big SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE TRAINERS!!! Some of you love doing and some probably would rather just be driving, but I for one as a TRAINEE, THANK YOU ALL! Without you all companies would stop.

JMI here. How is everyone doing?
All is well here and the job is going fine. Still in the midst of training at my home terminal, but my trainer is GREAT.

Jerry is a patient man and his main concern is one thing and one thing only. To see that I make it home to my family at the end of my day, daily.

I think the hardest part so far is keeping all the different dairies and THEIR procedures for the administrative side is the hardest to memorize. But with repetition I will get it.

Parking at the main processing plant is a #####. The guys with the goats don't seem to understand that a tractor with a sleeper doesn't have the turning or maneuverability of a day cab, and they leave no room to spare. So I know by the time I finish training, I will be able to park anywhere.

My trainer likes to tease/test me on some the details that I need to really stay on top of. I almost pulled away from my trailer with my lines and electrical still connected. But, he was trying to throw me off for training purposes only. I remembered last minute before I pulled away.

Routine and repetition, do you connects and disconnects the same way every time and you wont miss anything.

I will say this, truckers are the movers and shakers of the commodities, produce, anything that moves or needs moved world. People have a grave misconception of just where stuff comes from.

As a noob driver in the trucking world. I COMMEND EACH AND EVERYONE OF MY FELLOW DRIVERS. YOU ALL ARE THE MOST PROFESSIONAL, TACTICAL, FEARLESS, NICE DRIVERS ON THE PLANET. I personally thank you all! ~ JMI

I have only ran dairy during my 15 months of driving.

I think dairy consists of Good people right down to our dispatchers.

You bail them out when their in a bind and they will work with you if you need time off I found where I worked.

@1badtruckdriver2c I'm glad you've found a good company and I hope you have a long, happy career there.

How'd you like the drive to College Station, and which route did you take?
