All my marker lights were inoperable. Then I replaced one bulb and they all worked. Are they on a string? Why is it like this? And is there some secret to determining which one is bad? Mine is a 1994 Freightliner COE.
Just one bulb lights up everything??

Definitely sounds like they're wired in series. Probably not much you can do about it unless you have the time and funds to rewire it all. As for diagnostics, sing Christmas carrols while you're changing bulbs?

Your truck harness came from the same place that makes xmas tree lights.

Are you certain that bulb was somehow not shorted out and had the breaker throwed?
I ask because of a light problem I chased on a customers truck, finaly found where someone had used the wrong bulb and caused a short, which killed all of them on that circuit.Working2party Thanks this.
