1 week is classroom work then you go out with a trainer for a week just to show you the ropes. Just make sure you don't lie about your work history or driving record. They sent 2 home the 1st day of orientation in my class

that would suck to be sent home I thought they would verify everything before u got too that point. I was upfront with the lady on my interview about everything so I got no worries.

Both had received moving violations after they where given the final offer and did not notify Walmart. They will run your DMV record again 1st day of orientation. Just keep your nose clean even after the offer you the job. It was almost a month after they gave me the final offer before I went to orientation. They try to have a certain amount in the class. When you go on the road with the trainer you will stay in hotels. Are you going straight to a program or wild board

Wild board at my place means you work every weekend. You leave on Friday come in on Tuesday off Wednesday and Thursday then you do it all over again. There are several different Programs 5/2-5/3, 5/5, 6/3, 3/2 and some more it depends in the DC.

In Porterville, all the programs are filled by the senior drivers. All new hires will be a Friday/Saturday out on the 5 on 2 off schedule. The GTM (the boss) will go over all that when you come in for your driving test, and you will get to choose your day/time out in orientation. What I meant about two orientations is, we have had 2 orientations since mine and they, and the transfers will be ahead of you for trucks. The one program they might offer is a flex program where you and another driver will share a truck, you will have it a week and he has it a week, so you will only slip seat every other week.
