Wow sounds brutal. I don't see how anyone who has never driven a truck before can learn to back in 2 days or parallel park in 4 days with only a few hours practice. Must be the reason why Swift drivers are known as some of the most unsafe and bad drivers around. I bet some people just get lucky and pass. Sounds like a VERY VERY bad way to train people.

But you said the class has an 80% failure rate? That's outrageous, it's not that hard to drive a truck that 80% of people who try to do it will fail? Makes me scared of trying to go to Swift's school, seems like they are out to fail and fire people, I'd much rather go with a company that works with you instead of telling you you have two days to learn how to back up or else you are gone period. That sounds like a big waste of swifts time and money too. They actually send home 80% of the people? That is scary. I don't think the Navy Seals even have a drop out rate of 80%!!!!!!!!!!!

Just cause you go to school doesn't mean you are hired... If you can't even drive a four wheeler why do you belong in a truck?

Well you wannabes need to realize is that all types of people think they can drive a truck and try to get their CDL...Thank god most of them don't because it would be really bad out there...These people don't have a clue what it is to be a truck driver and shouldn't be on the road..especially near me. Most schools get you prepared to get your CDL license but your mentor on the road trains you to be a truck driver...They dont have a whole lot of time to hold everyones hand in school and the weak get weeded out pretty fast...their colors show real good....Just my .02.....Be safe out there :biggrin_25519:
