My wife and I only use speaker phone. We do have a radio that will do hands free with blue-tooth, but don'tlike it.

I have not double checked the laws, butI think Colorado and Florida might have issues with the one sidedblue-tooth head sets.

I don't see how anyone can drive while talking on the dam things. I tried it once by pinning it between my shoulder and my cheek, so I could keep both hands on the wheel. I was going through an intersection, about to get on the freeway. It slips off and starts sliding down my arm. I inadvertently jerked my arm and sent the dam thing out the window I had rolled halfway down. My Boss, whom I was on the phone with, laughed his butt off when I got back to the terminal. He said ," I could hear you talking just fine and all of the sudden you started swearing and your voice faded away and then I could hear cars going by. LOL"

I bought one of the Blue tooth Parrot thingees at the Pilot/J. My Trainer at Barney Trucking had one and I really liked it. But We never drove at night. It has a blue like that flashes to let you know it's linked to phone and let me tell you! That little light is brighter than all get out! It drives me nuts to drive with it at night. I tried to put tape over it, but it's under the soft rubber button part. I tried coloring it with a sharpie and got more on my face than I did the head set LOL.

So even if you have the head set, you can still get into trouble in some states, eh? I got yelled at for pulling over to make a call. Can't seem to win.

Not sure where you got your info but Co has no issues with headsets. I have used the Blue Parrot here for about 4 years.

Like I said before I would have to lookit up, but I do know that there was a reason I was thinking it. Moststates that have a similar laws have a cell phone exception.

    Title 42, Article 4, Part 14, Section1411
For purposes of this subsection (1),"earphones" includes any headset, radio, tape player, orother similar device which provides the listener with radio programs, music, or other recorded information through a device attached to thehead and which covers all of or a portion of the ears. "Earphones"does not include speakers or other listening devices which are builtinto protective headgear.
    Class B traffic infraction.

Not sure why drivers don't get Prepaid Legal. They fight tickets like this without you being there. No, I don't sell it. But I beat three tickets in three years using them. Not rocket science...
