No i wont share his info.. I dont think he will find anyone to drive it.

I was gonna contract drive for him but declined. I didnt reject the truck. My initial call started off as finding out would he spend the 3-5k on a total front overhaul and if not id just bring it back no hard feelings. But the conversation went downhill and i just decided im not working with this fellow. There are too many open seats.

The MC he was leasing onto today, cut him over this so i dont think the truck will be going far.

Low air pressure and/or steering alignment issues will cause that kind of wear on tires.
If the owner is willing to let that truck hit the road with tires in that poor shape I can only wonder what other defects that truck may have been hiding...
With that in mind-good call OP!!
If the owner was going to hassle you over a major safety issue such as this one then that was a sign to RUN,not walk away!!

    Oh........Ok
So to perhaps help out other potential drivers steer clear of this guy,we'll just cry on ttr about his ethics, then protect his"good" name. I get it,
    I mean really,YOU called him a slimeball.

Oh well, I lost any credibility about feeling bad about this story..
    Carry on.

    That's too bad.

Concealing a willfully negligent trucking company over such a blatant safety issue... If i drove that one inch onto the public road and woke the Monsignor up I would go to prison.

Im not concerned with your opinion, pity or credit. Just reminding the new drivers theyll be pressured to bend the rules and in that moment have to find the courage to say no. Am i willing to get into a slander suit to please you? No, i am not. This fellow can trash his own name without my assistance.

FlaSwampRat, 201 and Bean Jr. Thank this.

I picked up a trailer with one of those recently, and I drove it. Straight to a tire shop where they replaced THREE of the trailer tires.

If you are worried about slander suit, you are already in deep.

That tire could have come from anything. Does the photo contain recoverable EXFIL data showing GPS location, time, date taken and so forth? With supporting documentation that particular power unit number such an such as written up with defects in your DVIR etc etc etc.

The Internet is not private as many think. And fools are those who FB, Twitter and social media happily turning over anything and everything to others who someday will have something to do with that information and monetize it.

This industry relies on word of mouth, and usually it's either discarded as one of three things, Lunch Counter BS, TRUTH and must be taken action or outright falsehoods. The internet is part of that. All computers have addresses, with the correct authority tasked to discover your particular computer, who holds the billing account tied to that ISP and computer and so on, it does not take a hour to reveal who you are. IF the company owner is motivated to take out his imploding business against you once he finds out you talked about one of his trucks and tires to call it crappy and quit.

It is good you either quit or got fired. Thats the end of that story. Until next time. The main thing is YOU did NOT take that truck out of that man's yard onto public pavement anywhere. You quit or got fired instead of backing down. Now you have cause and can show that you should gain Unemployment and other things possible.

Pretrip pretrip pretrip never should have left the yard. I’m glad to know that after you talked to your wife she allowed you to man up and return the truck.

The wife is a interested party in a marital income indeed.

But the wife at home has no control over what husband does with truck or job. Unless the wife holds the same Class A CDL etc and is with the husband working for the same boss. He can very well fire twice with two people gone.
