Now that don't necessarily make him a bad fella.

Nope the driver was a nice guy. Just trying to make a living. The boss on the other hand, well let's just say this isn't his first rodeo. He's like a phantom owner, pops up here and there and is never settled in one place for two long. Where I come from they call him a shikster. A scam, a fraud. The owner could be a nice guy too, until he or one of his trucks hit you or your family and you get stuck with the bill because he has no insurance.

No need to get personal. It was just an offhand comment.
The way everyone else was piling on, I figured the guy could use a little moral support.

Not personal GT, just making a point. I kind of thought you were trying to make the fella feel better, but he's not on here.

What makes a bad fella bad??

He was blatantly breaking the law by what was said on his cell phone conversation. He's a repeat offender. Meanwhile the rest of us are out here trying hard to do the right thing while this guy doesn't give a hoot. There are plenty ways for him to make a living legally. Revoked license, no tags, out of service, unsecure load?? He's not the sharpest tool in the shed.

We had a tow truck driver run a redlight and kill two people here where I live a couple years ago. He was driving on a revoked license. The owner of the junkyard is tied up in a major lawsuit now. The driver is in jail. I guess before the incident he was good and now he's bad.

Had another one today that make me shake my head in disbelief. Stopped a guy for 20 over the limit. Seemed nice enough when I first contacted him. He was O/O. Checked the truck and trailer, and both were OOS. Go back and start checking him, well.............he had a warrant, he was revoked in his State, suspended in 3 other ones. To top it off he was just put out of service in another State for being suspended. Not a good day for that fella. Luckily he has 2 other trucks running for him. A team was behind him about 30 miles and was able to take his truck.:biggrin_2555::biggrin_25521:
