Housing cost depends on where you choose to live. Man camp runs between 400-500 depending on if you go with a skid shack, fema trailer, etc. The apartments I live at, off site and 10 miles away because I don't want to spend all my time there, are 578 a month. 3 of us in a 2 bedroom and I have a room to myself. Usually they put the new guys in a room together and the more senior guys get their own space.
just starting out in the bakken

That's a help hopefully it will slow down the turn over rate

Our turnover rate really isn't that high in Ross compared to most of the other companies. We are, however, constantly hiring and bringing in new guys because our yard is expanding. We are adding another office building and 4 more bays, for a total of 7, onto our maintenance shop this summer as well.

-
I'm a dispatcher for MBI.
-
I'm hearing there is some new contracts coming down the line so I can see why the hiring blitz and the need for house cleaning
-
I've heard the same thing actually, we've gotten so many new guys in the last 3 months I can't keep track of anyone. I've only been on days for about...4 months and I already don't know half the night drivers up here.
-
He *doesn't* know me... wink wink.
-
haha yeah. I don't trash MBI and actually love the company but I don't blow smoke and rainbows up everyone's ### so I'm unsure how they would take it.
-
I prefer that approach. I don't need smoke blown up my arse, I am a big boy and can handle the truth.
Job is great so far. Just what I expected.
