G'day. I am a Canadian, new the forum and too trucking. Im a laid off Plumber and currently following my dream, from childhood, of driving a big rig.

Im in a 12 week course which includes 4 weeks of coaching. My road test is next week and hope to earn a job with the company that takes me on as a student driver.

I hope to get into long haul and see more of North America and/or get into trucking on ice in Canada. F the Dalton highway. lol

See you on the road and bababooey to ya'll.

Welcome to the forum. Best of luck with the test, just stay calm and do what youve been taught and you will be fine. If your looking for long haul you should have no trouble finding a job at the moment. Plenty of companies in canada that take trainees. As for ice road jobs theres allways plenty of jobs advertised in winnipeg each winter for that, so if youre looking then keep it in mind.
