As are the other truck driving schools. My question is how hard is the cdl permit test compared to these online free test. I am passing these online test just

    The questions are the same.

Make sure you have an original birth certificate and a original social security card-not laminated.

Yes, you will pass. If you don't know an answer, then skip over that question and get back to it later.

It's nothing much to stress over. Keep in mind, however, even if you bring a permit from your state, you will have to switch it over to Missouri shortly after getting to Springfield (assuming you're headed to SpringMo, that is). The worst thing about Prime is the Greyhound ride in. Awful, that. The good thing is you may meet others headed to the same place for the same thing. Best thing to do is board the Hound nearly last and call out, "Who's Prime? You'll probably see a few hands. They will help make the crappy ride a lot easier. Lol

Prime itself spoils us. It really is all about the driver here. Took me 3 full days to get used to it. Never had an employer quite like this before. They like students who are proactive. For example. When you get you Pretrip packet, go find a driver who'll take you through it. Ask everyone. Most will be happy to run you through it...once they get over the momentary shock. Lol Things like that, they love. LOVE, I say; and it'll help you get placed with a quality instructor long before most.

You see, these guys talk to one another.

One last thing about the permit. Even if you have to switch it over, GET IT IN YOUR STATE. It will allow you to use the simulators a day or two before the others who wait until they arrive. After the mandated scenarios are run, you will be free to use them as much as you can until the end of orientation week.

As for here, search out ironpony. That one, I swear, knows all. Don't tell him I said that, though. K? Lol

    You made the right choice.

Best advice when taking a written test? Read the question S-L-O-W-L-Y, and the F-I-R-S-T answer that pops into your head is the one you go with. If you ponder the answers too long, you will have a brain fart and mess up.

When reading the questions, DO NOT add a word or take out a word to have the questions make sense to you.

For your information, all states "recycle" the questions, meaning that what you see online, "can be' or may be" the same exact ones at the DMV.

BUY the DMV can and HAS DONE at times, re-word a question or two, to confuse you. But the gist of the question will still amount to the same answer.

Everyone has an opinion of the various companies out there for training. All I can say is, go with whom ever appeals to you, and wants to hire you. Out of say, 1 dozen applications you send out, if only 2, or 3 companies want to hire you, that narrows down the playing field a bit.

I think it's best to get on with ANY company ASAP, and do the learning, and get to work.
