I want to thank the Moderators and owner's for a great site full of info for the Trucking, Trucker's and Trucking related world.
A little background info on myself: I did drive OTR in and around 1985 i believe- roughly 1yr's worth. I drove "Refer" (Team drivers) with a now defunct company -"CDS" -Consolidated Distributors Services (something like that) "West coast turn a rounds and also drove for "Team Transport" pulling a flatbed " East coast - mid West".
I wish something like this site was around back then --but then again if they had computers back then -i still probably wouldn't have seen this site till roughly 5-6 yr's ago (Technology illiterate till then)-I still do not carry a cell phone.
I am thinking about going back to trucking, but flip flopping back and forth depending on who's thread or post i am reading --is it in my blood -i dunno.
I discovered this site roughly 2 years ago and since have enjoyed the stories, tales, descriptions and rants and raves and general info. After a few months of reading things posted in here and having feelings of horror, anger, amazement and yet strangely the urge to go trucking again (go figure) i shot myself with a dose of reality helped along with some of the frightening info posted in here about the state of professional driving in today s world and convinced myself "Trucking" just wasn't something for me anymore.
BBUUUTT here i am enjoying everyone's post's and feel like i can add some of my own as i see some info seems to be missing between the new drivers, Wannabees and the pro's. I may help to fill in gaps with questions the new ones dont seem to know how or what to ask and the old hands have just forgotten about. I hope i dont get thrown off the site on day one. LOL

Its fun to see whats changed in the last the last couple of decades Saddletramp not sure its for the better. Man you must have seen all of it creeping up on you in 34 years on the road. I am kicking around the idea of trying it again, trucking sorta has that strange pull on you even from my very short experience. I see a lot of people that jumped out just to jump back in again -go figure!
