Just wondering

Pending on what your wanting to do?, If your just wanting to talk about 3-4 miles, dont waste your money on those exspencive radios or 10 meters, I'm not a cobra fan, but will do nicely for that range, and fairly cheap, If your looking to get out around 10-12 mile range, I'd suggest a magnum or stryker, Some will tell you a cobra 29 will do the same, but with my experience and with others I personal know, the cobra 29 wont do it with out help, The company I driver for supplies radio in the truck and they do put in cobra 29, only because of price and availablities of the radio, I've taken it and had a tune up done, tune and peaked, SWR checked and set, good antenna, and the best it gets is between 4-5 miles, Now I know I can buy a little kicker to get out more, but not going to waste my money, Advice?, Sit and think about what your going to do with it, and spend your money wisely
