I can say for sure that yearly cleaning and regular oil change intervals will greatly improve reliability!!!

International has never had a true "recall" which was an inframe. They will inframe an engine under fail conditions. Lately it is oil consumption due to carbon packing. There are certain serial number ranges of 2013 SRC N13, 4300000 to 4315700 that are effected. The fix is an updated piston/cylinder pack for engines that experience this specific failure. Engines in that serial number range do not automatically qualify for new liners. They have also expanded this into the 2015 my N13 with no specific serial number range. We have not seen any, but this is something that will be mid to late stage engine life I suspect and not something you normally see in the first year or two of operation. Never saw any over haul recalls on any Maxxforce or early SCR product.
