I'll take reefer over dry van all day anyday. I've always made more money. Sitting sucks but that's why I got a tv, playstation, and laptop. Too each their own though.FearTheCorn, broke down plumber and bryan21384 Thank this.

K&B.....I've come across drivers that love them and others that hate them. I knew a guy that actually got fired from there. He was late on a meat load. He couldn't slide his tandems on a preload. He liked it while he was there. You had to run a minimum amount of miles to get the guarantee. He told me 1900 miles to get the 1250 guarantee at the time.
tscottme and nextgentrucker Thank this. -

Reefer is great if you’re paid percentage. It loads and unloads seven days a week. Rarely, if ever have to sit empty.
Guaranteeing $1600 at .70 cents a mile is less than 2300 miles a week. That’s a lot of sitting.
If they were half way decent they wouldn’t be the number 1 advertiser on all the truck recruiting sites.
Find someone who doesn’t advertise much or none at all. If you’ve never been in trucking then don’t judge a book by its cover. Reefers follow the fruit and veggie harvest season. No matter what ppl have to eat and they need their drugs which ship via reefers too.nextgentrucker Thanks this. -
I love meat loads. Play the little game of getting a washout and put their seal on it. Drop it where they want and then leave. Go do laundry, ####, shower, shave, motel, mall, nice meal, and adult beverages. Turn your ringer off because they’ll call at 2am to say it’s ready. Generally, it’s loaded well, will ride nice, and it’s heavy so good for windy bad weather. Chicken loads can kiss my butt, though.tscottme, drvrtech77 and nextgentrucker Thank this.
