Yes you do. You sound like a spoiled little kid. "Boo Hoo, they don't respect me. I'm gonna pick up my dolls and dishes and go play somewhere else".

You were a new driver and they were keeping an eye on you until they were sure how you were going to work out. I guess now they know.

Your recruiter was bending over backward to keep you and all you did was whine about the very things that you were given solutions to.

C-mon man, grow up. Things will never ever at any company go exacrly the way you want them to. If that company wasn't a good match you should have bailed...but not the way you did.

    Maybe you don't have self-respect. I do.

I'm not an animal and I refuse to be treated as such.

There's another option too. U Haul will rent you one of those little moving trucks, sometimes for less than Hertz or Enterprise will charge for a car.
We had to do that one time out of LA when all the rental cars were either spoken for or too expensive for our budget.
Hey, it ain't stylin' but it will get you home. And you can return a UHaul just about anywhere,

I said the same thing as you before I started there.

"Oh it can't be that bad." "Drivers are such whiners." "These guys will never make it in trucking."

It's something you won't know until you experience it I guess.

I'll just edit this before you guys jump in:

The frustration that comes from K&B is something you won't know until you try and drive for them.

None of us are lawyers, though a lot of us like to think we are. Most lawyers have free consaults to see if you have a case. Find one that works in employment law or deals with truckers amd call them and find out.

However, that being said. You chose to steal their truck, I believe they can keep your possessions to offset the cost of them recovering the truck.

Contact a lawyer, now. Tell thwm the situation. If they feel you have a case hire the attorney. They will assist you in recovering your stuff. If the stuff is gone they will help you recoup money.

    Interesting post.
First I will say that this driver didn't do everything as he should have there's no doubt about that.
K&B's micromanagement and pushing other drivers into and out of their break time is becoming commonplace.
No they can't just keep his belongings to offset the cost of recovering the truck without taking legal actions. Have they notified him of the cost of recovering the truck? They could I guess if he had signed something in orientation that allowed them to do that. However, they also don't have to make any effort getting it back to him.
All In all, IMO, just another episode of K&B crap.
