Some cabovers the sleeper was smaller than your normal coffin. I kid you not. I was young in those days and to shoehorn a girlfriend into that space for a little petting was quite something. Not much room for roaming back then.

The Studio sleeper was KW's next great invention, behind the K100 Aerodyne though lol

after that KW built the Anteater. The original curved nosed rig. The KW T2000 for the model year 2001 when we hauled medicine was the evolution of that model taken to luxury for it's time. It was for us a very good truck. I don't think they lasted too long for whatever reason, but when it's winter and icing piles all over your tractor, it did not have too much to latch onto with the T2000 body.

At the end of the day I think the W900 would be the ultimate KW rig. It has pretty much everything. Just remember to purchase a few bumper posts with LED on top of them so you don't hook your front end.

That is very good model work.

Try to source a few different powders of this:

    Bragdon Enterprises - Weather System

A dab on your tire treads, a bit on the mudflap and a smudge on drivers steps and so on. Just a tiny amount will kill that plastic shine. Then seal with a very very light touch of dull cote. Don;t forget to cover your lenses and glass first with painters tape.

Your model work is excellent. Just a little gift to help you evolve.

thanks x1Heavy, turned 50 this year, had 3 models published in magazines over my life but haven't had the urge in quite some time. 2 projects in the closet just waiting to start, maybe someday.

    Oustanding.

Ive built models since like 7 and looking at mid 50's now. Ive got several on the shelf yet to build, a freuhalf flat and a 87 COE freightliner in I think 1/35 from AMT models. The biggest problem is palsy in both of my hands robbing me of precision. Painting gauges will just have to wait until the CBD oil kicks in on the tops of the hands and settles them down to where I can really get in there and do very precise work. But sometimes its a problem. I was signing for medical prescriptions at the pharmacy yesterday and the one pen got tossed across the room when one hand locked it's muscles up while writing. Thats one of the things we are looking into very carefully.

It definitely affects my ability to do model work. But we are working on that as I write this. And it will be fixed eventually. They think moderate to severe carpal tunnel in both wrists have something to do with that from trucking. The wrists lock down under pressure, cuts the nerves off enough and boom I have no hands for a while. Just have to wait and get them back.

The doctor wants to cut into the wrists and fix it. But that will have to wait a little bit. Maybe next year.

I have a modeler who does very good work. Once in a great while I'll buy a good model off him at a premium that I am happy to pay for such quality work, knowing that my own medical situation is a challenge at the workbench.

I refuse to let that bother me. I refuse to. Life is too good to complain, moan and groan.

You know what? I'll take you up on that. There is a box at the hobby store down the road among other kits.

Once the doctor finishes butchering my wrists and I get that precision back, I'll build out one for you sometime next year. I dont know when that will be. I built one before when I was younger. I think you will like it when I get it done. Remind me sometime next year.
