Hi there, anyone have or can take some pics of what a rear cab mounted air spring on a K100 looks like. How it fits.

I can buy a kit from the US but I'm told they are for US spec only, not Aus. Surely a Kenworth K100 can not vary that much, rather requiring a basic modification to do the job if the rest of the truck is anything to go on.

I had one on my K100 many moons ago. CABMATE was the company that made it. Had installed back around 1985 if I remember correctly. IMG_9265.jpeg IMG_9264.jpeg

    make much of a difference?
I think Link make Cabmate, Cabmate is the product name. It appears when traced back they are for sleeper only so I have that. They are also for a single 3 point locking system, I have 2. But your pic shows a brace across the tunnel and what I dare say is a single rear mount.

    getting closer thanks

    modern one 1993.

Not sure of the evolution but this one has a sprung front that sort of works. AI for what its worth suggest springing the rear may cause stability issues if 3 or 4 points are all moving. Makes sense but I know my ol bonneted Mack that had a pivot front and an air spring rear kind of missed the point.
