i kind of agree with you but i think it was a combination of alot of things the high compression pistons the ecm tune the weight and backing off the accuators. kurt said backing them off wasnt a good idea but i didnt listen. i was like you i reused the original pistons the first time thinking it wouldnt hurt. but this time im changing everything. hope it will last longer this time instead of just 43000 miles. its a hobby for me, an expensive one but like they say, you play you pay!! i didnt crack a liner it stretched the head bolts burnt the gasket on #2 cylinder my liner protrution was at .003 and a half to 4 and a half over all that might of had something to do with it also. this time it will be between 5 to 6 thousands when im done.
